Operation City Quest Scavenger Hunt, Nm

The "Operation City Quest" is an educational scavenger hunt in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The game was created by Jeff G. Patterson, who wrote the "Quest Manual," which provides the instruction for each hunt.

We will be hosting our first Operation City Quest on Saturday, June 3rd, from 10 am to 2 pm, with a second one on Saturday, July 22nd, from 9 am to 1:30 pm. This event is for people ages 11 through adulthood. Our events are unique, interactive, inspiring, and fun!

The missions range from easy to hard. Some take ten minutes; others may take an hour or more. You will have to earn the clues by finding hidden words or symbols in places throughout the city that can only be found with a series of clues. The clues will have you searching inside buildings, behind objects, and in streets and alleys to find the words or symbols you need to collect your next clue. Each mission is designed to take you to parts of Santa Fe that you might have never seen. We have something for everyone, and we are excited to share this experience with you!

It was a tremendous success the first time we held Operation City Quest in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The event attracted around 400 people and was attended by the mayor, Billy Garrett of the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce, Craig Smith of the Sante Fe Fiesta, and Event Planner Susan Wank of the Villa Hispana. The event was such a hit that Santa Fe is considering holding Operation City Quest here yearly.

The "Quest Manual" will be mailed out to all who sign up for the first Operation City Quest on June 3rd, 2013, in PDF format. It will include each location with images and directions to the same sites and clues and instructions on finding hidden words. Each person who signs up for Operation City Quest will receive a copy (the first one will be in PDF format).
