Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego, CA

1649 El Prado Balboa Park San Diego, CA 92101
The Museum of Photographic Arts in San Diego, California is a great place to visit and see the kind of art that can be created with photography. Most people love art but don't understand a lot about it and sadly people still often forget about photography as an art form. When people talk about photography they think about the people that take pictures of your family for you and go to weddings. While all of those professions are great that is still different than photography for purely an art standpoint. With photography, you are able to stop time for a frame and capture that moment in time. But that means you are able to reveal things about the world around you good or bad that may go overlooked without you there taking those pictures.

But that is not the only type of art that you will see there as now there are filters and other things that can change the way that the picture comes out and make it look completely different than what it was, to begin with. At the museum, you will see all these different things and get to learn about the artist that took the picture in the first place and why it is that was important to them. The museum does offer tours but is just a great place to go and look around.
