La Mesa Village near San Diego, CA

8401 La Mesa Blvd La Mesa, CA 91942
La Mesa Village is located in the heart of La Mesa in San Diego and is a five block Main Street that has all the charm of an old town center with contemporary additions like gourmet restaurants and a weekly Farmers Market. The village still has many of original buildings from 1912 when La Mesa was incorporated which adds to the quaint atmosphere. The historic Santa Fe Train Depot, built in 1894 is still standing and offers tours on Saturdays

There is the Antique Alley with many antique stores bringing visitors and people from all over San Diego to browse and find treasure. It also offers a Tea Room, a variety of restaurants, a bakery, unique shops and access to the trolley.

The village promotes many activities for everyone to enjoy. There is a Thursday Night Car Show, an Antique Street Faire with vendors and a Children’s Book Festival. Oktoberfest has been a popular annual experience for 39 years with an array of vendors and a Beer Garden. In July there is a Flag Day Parade with an enthusiastic parade down the center of La Mesa Boulevard with shops displaying their wares along the street.

One of the most delightful events has been Christmas in the Village which featured an old fashioned style of Christmas, but this event has been expanded to Holiday in The Village to create a more inclusive Holiday experience. This special Holiday week-end will feature vendors, music and dance, a children’s area with movies and activities.

All in all, La Mesa Village is a charming and interesting area to visit for locals and visitors alike.
