San Diego Micro Brewery Tour
You will want a lot of room in your gut for this guided and chauffeured tour of North San Diego County Booming Brewery District. You will recognize that less than ten years ago, there were 30 som'odd microbreweries in that area, while today there are over 150! You will love that they are all award winning crafters. Your professional guides have partnered with local microbreweries to provide you with the best, world class visits, from behind the scenes production rooms to the personalized histories of world recognized crafters. You will enjoy every visit whether to Green Flash Brewing Company, Ballast Point Brewing, Indian Joe Brewing, Coronado Brewing Company, Rough Draft Brewing Company, Accoustic Ales Brewing Experiment, Mike Hess Brewing, and so many more on their itinerary.
You will appreciate Mike & Lisa Hinkley and Erik Jensen for their work in establishing Green Flash in 2002. You will feel welcomed by their trailblazing approach to continually craft beers that peak their customers' interests. You will enjoy their full house brewery and tasting room. Or perhaps you'll land at Ballast Point where the traditions of founders Jack White, Pete A'Hearn and Yuseff Cherney remain honored since the period of 1992 to 1996 as they pioneered its opening starting in their college spaces at UCLA. Perhaps you've already guzzled down some of their hoppy twists or amber ales as they boast a global reach for quite some time now. You will feel pleasantly obligated to forage friendships at the 18,000 sq.ft. operations, tasting room and events center at Indian Joe Brewing. You will appreciate Founder Max Moran's honorable demeanor having named his shoppe after his uncle and incorporated some of his Hopps recipe ingredients style from the early 20th century, yielding today thirty craft beers forever on tap. You will equally love the light, dark, Belgian and Hoppy flavors of Accoustic Ale's as they brew in homage to the original location builders some 100 years later. You will revel in its historic Mission Brewery Location, and the continued quality in crafting of Founder and world hopps traveler Tommaso Maggiore. You will revel in wonder and amazement at the ingenuity and hospitality of serial entrepreneur Mike Hess, his wife Lynda, his brother Greg and his friend Court Patton, as you feast on the flavors of his German Hopps served in Willi Becher or one of his 8 cans. You will undoubtedly remember their tales of pioneering their nano breweries, and if you don't, you can always catch up by visiting his blog Mike Hess Brewing Odyssey.
If all that beer's not enough for you, you can savor every bite of Ron and Rick Chapman's gourmet salads or sandwiches, or their Bavarian Style Salted Pretzel served with Honemade Mustard and Beer Cheese at their 1996 established Coronado Brewing Company.
