Mission San Luis Rey Museum Admission Photos (1)

There is nothing that is more rewarding then visiting a museum, from the natural history to the beauty that comes from the artifacts that teach us about history. When it comes to visiting a museum it can seem like a challenge to find the right one, but if you are a fan of Tuscan or Hispanic heritage the Mission San Luis Rey Museum is an excellent place to visit this weekend. The Mission San Luis Rey Museum takes a look at the traditional Mexican and native heritage that comes from the San Luis Obispo area. Anyone who is familiar with the area will appreciate all of the natural artifacts and the stellar selection of historic structures that surround the grounds.

When it comes to the Spanish heritage of the area there is nothing better then visiting the Mission San Luis Rey Museum. From the beautiful artifacts that show different dates in history, from the California mission to the American Military periods. This museum is definitely and in depth piece of history, and the admission is so affordable that the whole family can visit. The price for an adult is $7 and the price for a child is $3, and this price is good up to 18 years old. This is truly a special bargain, and something that makes it worth while for the whole family to visit and learn something as well. The Mission San Luis Rey Museum is a wonderful place to learn about the Spanish history of California, and it provides an interesting way for children to learn about all of the different periods of time. The Mission San Luis Rey Museum is an interesting and fun family destination to learn about some very interesting history.

Discover a fascinating chapter in California history during a visit to the Mission San Luis Rey, located just north of the San Diego downtown. This admission, valid daily between 10am and 4:30pm, includes access to the on-site museum, mission grounds, and a self-guided tour, during which you can explore the National Historic Landmark at your own pace.

Founded in 1798, the Mission San Luis Rey was once known as "king of the missions." Among the largest and most prominent of the 21 Spanish missions located across California, it's famous for its sprawling lavanderia archaeological site, as well as its sunken gardens, wooden dome and cupola, and other unique architectural features.

In the museum, discover Native American, Spanish, and Mexican artifacts, and learn about the history of Spanish influence in California. Today, the mission doubles as a home to Franciscan friars and is a functioning retreat center; its church celebrates daily Mass at noon, which visitors are also welcome to attend.
