Naked Iguana Riverwalk Bar in San Antonio, TX

Strolling along the Riverwalk in San Antonio is a great way to check out some of the natural beauty as well as the hot tourist spots of the city.

But when you decide it's time to stop, rest, and have some refreshments, the Naked Iguana Riverwalk Bar should be your stopping point of choice. Located on East Commerce Street between North Presa Street and Broadway Street, the Naked Iguana is open from 11am until midnight Sunday through Thursday, and from 11am until 2am on Friday and Saturday.

Advertising themselves as 'Home of the Memorable Margarita', the Naked Iguana takes pride in its tequila and tequila cocktail collection. From the Green Iguana Margarita (that comes in an 12 or 27 ounce size), made with Maestro Dobel Diamonte Multi-Aged Tequila, Patron Citronge, 100% Blue Agave Silver Tequila, and house-made honeydew-cilantro syrup, to the Blueberry Iguana (made with Herradura Double Barrel Reposado, Patron Citronge, 100% Blue Agave Silver Tequila, and fresh blueberries and cucumbers), to Barrel Select Skinny Margaritas made with tequila, fresh squeezed lime juice, and agave nectar, there is a margarita for every type of drinker.

The Naked Iguana has more than just margaritas on their menu, of course. There are other cocktails, beer options, and tequilas served neat. Happy Hour is from 3-6pm daily, with Reverse Happy Hour from 9-11pm Sunday through Thursday, and while the specialty margaritas may not be available, house ones are for a great price. There is also a food menu for those looking to nibble as well as drink while at the bar. So when it comes time to park for a bit while visiting the Riverwalk, the Naked Iguana is the place to go.
