An Indian Fusion Experience in San Antonio
You don't have to travel to India for a taste of authentic Indian cuisine! San Antonio, Texas is home to Amaya Fine Indian Cuisine, which serves a menu full of dishes from the Indian subcontinent . This is the kind of food you'll find on every street corner in places like Delhi or Mumbai and it's sure to satisfy your cravings for some good ol' spice in your life.
Do yourself a favor and come visit this place the next time you're down at San Anto.
The cuisine is authentically South Indian, with a broad mix of recipes from all the provinces of India. The restaurant serves traditional dishes, such as butter chicken and parota masala, but also features fusion dishes like the naan burger mentioned in the article. You can have traditional maharaja biryanis and tandoori rotis or try some vegetarian fare like paneer tikka masala. The menu's also got a few selections for the kids, such as kiddie dosas and ghee pakoras.
There's a full bar here, with wine and cocktails, as well as beer and non-alcoholic beverages. They serve a variety of Indian beers, like Coors Light and Old Monk rum. Their selection of wines is also interesting. A couple of my favorites are the Roederer Estate Brut and the Seghesio Granscoto.
The restaurant's located in the Alon Town Center, off Bitters Road near the mall.
It's been reviewed by several major papers across Texas, not to mention some international press as well. Places like The New York Times have featured Amaya Fine Indian Cuisine in articles about fusion cooking combined with traditional cuisine from different countries.
Join Armand for a memorable evening and he'll bring his sense of humor and phenomenal cooking, if you'll bring your appetite. This Indian fusion dinner includes an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Enjoy the lively ambiance and music to accompany the cuisine. A complimentary bottle of red wine for each set of guests & a complimentary cocktail before dinner!
