The Salt Lake City Public Library offers more than just books for those who are seeking something to keep them busy.
This is one of the largest libraries in the area that is full of history and fun events through the year.
Many of the events that are held at the library are for children. There is a new program called "Beanstack" that lets you choose books based on the interests of your child. Badges can be earned once a certain number of books have been read or another goal that parents set for the child has been reached. One special program is about fairytales and how they have been used in stories through the decades.
Each month, there is a showcase of some of the new books and other materials that are at the library. Patrons have a chance to look at the items before checking them out, but there is a shorter amount of time for new materials to be on loan than some of the older items. Aside from a large selection of books, you can check out movies, board games and musical discs at the library.
While in the Salt Lake City area, stop by the library to read one of the latest books by your favorite author, or participate in one of the fun learning events throughout the year.
