Staheli Family Farm Fall Events in Washington near Saint George, UT, 3400 S Washington Fields Rd, Saint George, Utah, 84780 is not just about the Halloween season, but the opportunity to have visitors walk and play on the land in which Frank Staheli Sr. pioneered an irrigation system that still is in use today. So what is an immigrant’s family to do with the fruits of their father’s labor? Pass it on to others, especially children so that they understand how things grow and why. For several years’ children, youth whole families come to learn and play at the Staheli Farm Fall Events.
In their 17th year the Staheli Farm Fall Events bring thousands through their father’s land for many special events. This year the old familiar activities remain, the Petting Zoo, Jumping Pillow, Horse Swing, Rope Swing, Corn Slide, Kids Farm House, Duck Races, Teen Zone, Ball Zone, Pirate Ship, Playground, Bee Line , Paintball Gallery , Spooky Trick-or-Treat Trail, Cow Train Depot , Redneck Roller, Gemstone Mining , and Lil’ Dirt Diggers. New this year, Candy Cannon, Pumpkin Seed-Spitting Contest, Straw Bale Hoist, New Witch “Daughty”, and Konk the Crow are ready for their initiation into the mix.
There are always ‘must dos,’ and the Staheli Family Farm Fall Events have theirs too. Start at the chuck wagon diner which is still around with a variety of foods to fit all needs and tastes topped off with the secret family-made Caramel Pumpkin Pie that makes the trip to the diner worthwhile. The pumpkin patch, re-stocked weekly allows for visitors to have pictures taken of them and their find, or to purchase them for pies, and use others as jack-o-lanterns. Thoughtfully, Staheli Family Farm Fall Events’ final vote for ‘must dos’ is for the newbie on the block pumpkin seed-spitting contest gross but giving the most fun.
