The city of Riverton hosts many Fourth of July events that are filled with fun and excitement for children and adults alike. Some of the biggest and most exciting events that take place in this city includes the tractor parade, the Mountain man and the The Buffalo Bill Cody Stampede Rodeo. However, the city's local fireworks show is the best event of all.

Many people start off their Fourth of July celebrations by going to barbecues, parades and picnics during the day. Local residents have community and private cookouts and then people start to travel toward the central parts of their community late in the afternoon.
The citizens of Riverton typically gather at the airport or on Airport Rd. to watch the fireworks. The airport is the prime location to watch the fireworks display in this area. The area is located near Valley View which is the area where the fireworks are displayed. The fireworks show has been going on here for well over 30 years and continues to get better as each year passes. The folks in Riverton, Wyoming love their fireworks and the displays that are put on here are fantastic.
