Learn a little about the history of Arizona at the Arizona Capitol Museum. From exhibits that teach about the government of the state to those that show how life was like when the area was first developed, you can spend a day in the building with family, friends or a school group. The museum is an ideal attraction for school groups as field trips are welcomed by the staff. Tours are available, or you can walk through the museum on your own accord. It is free to enter the museum, which make it easy to attend whenever you want a bit of history. There are special exhibits on each floor that relate to the foundation of the state. A gift shop is located on the first floor so that you can get a token of your trip. There are several artifacts that include arrowheads and paintings from decades ago when early settlers were in the area. The memorials are humbling as you can learn more about the founding fathers of Arizona and how some of them sacrificed their lives for the state. A nice children's area is located on the lower floor. It features exhibits that are kid-friendly and easy for them to understand. While in Phoenix, stop by the Arizona Capitol Museum to learn about the history of the area. There are exhibits for all ages. After touring the museum, enjoy some time in the park nearby.
