Man in the Sea Museum in Panama City Beach, FL
What makes this museum interesting is all the artifacts it contains. It has items from the very beginning of deep-sea diving. For example, they use to use inflated animal skins to breathe from. The Man in the Sea museum has items they recovered from boats that have been underwater since the 1500’s. That is impressive! This museum even has the first working undersea habitat in the world. Since the beginning of time, people have been curious about the unknown. And to this day the sea is still very much unknown to mankind. The unknown is what attracts so many tourist and locals to this museum.
One of the notable attractions that was mentioned before was the worlds first working undersea habitat, this attraction is called SEALAB 1. This exhibit was originally used by Navy Seals in the 1960’s. They also have a model of SEALAB 2 available for viewing. SEALAB 2 was the last of the original underwater living environments.
This is a great attraction to anyone who’s curious about another world. So much of the ocean is still unknown to us. But what we do know can be found at the Man of the Sea Museum. Next time you're in-Panama City Beach, Florida, go check this museum out!
