San Andreas Fault Jeep Tour

The infamous San Andreas Fault runs right through the heart of the state and you can safely see it up close and personal on the San Andreas Fault Jeep Tour. This four-hour family-friendly jeep tour takes you and your guide through the picturesque badlands of Coachella Valley in an area that has been described as "the most tortured landscape on earth."
Your fully-guided tour begins and ends at Morton's Steakhouse and takes you through the back roads and trails of the vast holdings of the Bureau of Land Management Wilderness Zone. You'll hike the trail to see the San Andreas Fault up close as you get a better sense of this lightly populated area. You'll marvel at the vast river beds, sheer canyon walls and other unusual rock formations that dot the landscape. The colors of the landscape are bright and unusual and the desert landscape contains a wide variety of unusual plants.
This tour can be completely customized. The entire tour can be on a jeep or some of it can include walking the desert trails. Depending on your preferences, you can spend more time examining the faults or exploring the vegetation. When it's all over, you'll have some up-close experience with the San Andreas Fault as well as a better idea of the desert landscape of California's Coachella Valley.
