You may then go to the Crow's Nest (a flight of stairs that allow for different views of the fall) if you'd like. You are then taken to Goat Island where you will learn some interesting history of how it got its name. After that, you are taken into the Cave of the Winds. This cave takes you even closer to the waterfall. The views here are breathtaking and it's something you'll never forget. Then, you make your way to the Hurricane Deck! You will be given a poncho and proper footwear as you face the waterfall. Here, you are at the base of Bridal Veil Falls. Your entire experience lasts approximately four hours. Get up close to the waterfall and feel the mist of the water as your guide commentates the whole adventure. This is sure to be the highlight of your Niagara Falls trip.
This journey includes views/visits to:
Horseshoe Falls- this is the largest of the waterfalls on the Niagara River. About 90% of the river's water flows down this waterfall!
American Falls- this is the second largest of the waterfalls on the Niagara River. It lies completely within the United States border.
Upper Niagara River & Rapids- see the river before it reaches the waterfall. You will see how truly powerful this river is.
Gorge & Whirlpool- Niagara Gorge begins at the base of the falls and ends near Queenstown, Ontario. The force of the river at this point is one of the most powerful currents in the world! The whirlpool lies at the end of the gorge.
Observation Tower- get a panoramic view of all three falls at the same time. This view is breathtaking!
Goat Island- An island that is only accessible from New York's side. It got its name because of a shepherd that would herd his goats to the island to protect them from wolves.
Luna Island- this island lies between Bridal Veil Falls and American Falls. You are able to walk onto this island and get a different view of the falls.
Bridal Veil Falls- this fall is the smallest of the river's waterfalls. You can go to the base of this fall and into the Cave of the Winds!
Three Sisters Island- This island is connected to Goat Island via a walkable bridge. You can see the upper rapids from here.
This is a once in a lifetime experience that the whole family will love and talk about for years to come.
