All Aboard! Take a ride on the only moving ice cream parlor and enjoy a train ride and an ice cream sundae at the same time. The 1950’s ice cream parlor leaves from the Newport Station with Conductor Kalbus in control. Passengers will be building sundaes to eat on the trip.
The train ride takes place either rain or shine. Lunch can also be purchased for the train ride. It is important to note that items such as nuts, dairy, eggs, and other allergens are used. Recipes can be substituted if informed far enough in advance.
The Newport & Narragansett Bay Railroad allows for visitors to step back in time to when the society’s upper class would use train travel as a way to come to Newport for the summer. This railroad helped to develop Newport into what it is today. Visitors are welcome to get a full experience of traveling on a train with one of the dinner excursions.
