Historical and Architectural Wonders

Castle Hill Lighthouse
The Lighthouse was completed in 1890 and is located along the Narragansett Bay. The lighthouse is not open to the general public, however, the grounds near the Castle Hill Inn & Resort are, which allows you to get an up-close view of the unique light tower.

The Old Stone Mill/Newport Tower
Located in Touro Park, the Old Stone Mill, or Newport Tower, sits the remains of a mid 17th-century windmill. Many have speculated it to be many centuries older but carbon dating has proved that is incorrect. The beautiful stone work at the base of the tower gives you a great detailed look to how it would have once stood back in its time. Many paintings have suggested the hill was once visible of the harbor allowing passerbys in the Narragansett Bay to witness the tower.
