Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City, NY
It is located on Amsterdam Avenue in New York City in Manhattan’s Morningside Heights. It disputes with the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral for the title of the largest cathedral and Anglican church. The inside spreads 121,000 square feet and a height of 70.7 meters.
The cathedral’s nickname, “St. John the Unfinished,” came about when a large fire in 2001 closed the cathedral. Though the cathedral reopened seven years later, it was never finished. It is still undergoing construction and restoration.
