Parc Hardy in Breaux Bridge, LA
Whenever anyone in the area thinks about Parc Hardy they remember wonderful memories of this festival. This fun event is sponsored by Breaux Bridge Crawfish Association and is help during the first week of May of every year and usually last 3 days.
During these three days, Parc Hardy is the most populated than it is any other part of the year. The reason for the festival is to honor crustacean. You will find delicious food made with of course, crawfish as well as some of the best entertainment in the area. The entertainment usually includes 30 bands which play music especially from the Cajun, Zydeco and Swamp Pop genre. These live bands provide the crowd with hours of entertainment and music to dance to throughout the day and into the night. This is one of the most happening places for locals as well as tourists. Tourists love the originality in the food and the cultural influence of the area in the entertainment.
Entertainment is not the only thing that attracts people to these festivities; the food is another highlight of this event. You can find entrees made with crawfish in ways you would have never imagined and all in Cajun style. Crawfish Etuffee, Fried Crawfish, Crawfish Boudin, Crawfish, PoBoys, Crawfish Sausage, Crawfish Boutletts, Crawfish Jambalaya, Crawfish Egg Rolls, and Boiled Crawfish are only a few of the most popular entrees served.
You can also take part in many of the activities which include racing a crawfish in the World Famous Crawfish Race. If you love crawfish, you might want to take part in the Crawfish Eating Contest. If you would rather cook than eat in the eating contest, they have a Crawfish Etoufee Cookoff as well. There is something for everyone at this festival which is why it makes it the best event of the year at Parc Hardy in Breaux Bridge.
