Danneel Park in

vacationsmadeeasy.com/NewOrleansLA/'>New Orleans is the city's most popular neighborhood park. The park is conveniently located on the St. Charles street line so you can take in the sights of the city while traveling to the park. Danneel Park is a wonderful attraction for locals and tourists and provides hours of play for children. The park is also ideal for dog walking. The playground has also undergone extensive renovations, since the equipment was damaged by lead poisoning, particularly after Hurricane Katrina. The terrible storm also took away the park's pavilion, which has since been replaced.

The park renovation project was made possible through volunteer work, which speaks to the rich culture of New Orleans. After spending some time in the park and letting the kids play or walking the dog, you can explore the various art museums and restaurants New Orleans has to offer. The city is known for its delicious Creole and Cajun cuisine, so you'll taste a combination of sweet, savory and spicy flavors in virtually every meal you purchase in the city. You won't be far from popular attractions like Bourbon Street and the French Quarter, and there are plenty of places to hear live music while you enjoy a meal as well. Of course, there are also musicians on the streets that play songs inspired by some of the jazz musicians that once called New Orleans home.
