If you have a taste for whiskey and a curiosity to explore the best distillery in the US, be sure to embark upon the Jack Daniel's Distillery Full Day Tour! This awesome endeavor allows you to experience the brewing process in person. You will discover the care that your favorite whiskey brand goes through to create its distinct flavor and brand. Not only is Jack Daniel's one of the most popular whiskey brands in the country, but it is also the oldest registered distillery in the country as well. On this trip, you will be visiting the original site of the Jack Daniel's legacy and explore the roots that this distillery has created in the area's whiskey-making industry. You'll be provided with complimentary samples and lunch!

You will meet at the Nashville Farmers Market at the start of the tour. Look for the black van parked beside the tomato statues on 7th Avenue. The van is a comfortable Ford Transit with air-conditioning and ten seats. You will have a knowledgeable guide to give you the history and answer any questions that you may have. The tour will leave from Nashville and you'll first be transported to Bell Buckle, a small Tennessee town about an hour away, where you will have a complimentary Southern-style lunch. You'll have some time to explore the shops and scenery of the town before returning back to the van to head to Lynchburg. The remaining journey will take about 40 minutes and you'll see the beautiful rolling hills of Tennessee.

In Lynchburg, you will be taken to the famous Jack Daniel's Distillery. Here, you will learn about the Daniel family, Jack Daniel and his traditions, and everything you'd like to know about the brewing process. You'll get over 150 years of history packed into this tour. You'll be taken through the distillery, get complimentary samples of different whiskeys, and receive a souvenir whiskey glass at the end.

After the tour, you will be transported back to Nashville. You do not have to worry about any logistics and can focus on absorbing all of the history and whiskey that you can on this adventure

History of the Jack Daniel Distillery

Jack Daniel's Distillery was established in 1886 by Jasper Newton Daniel. It was the first registered distillery in the United States and won a gold medal at the World's fair in 1904. Both of Jack's parents died in his teenage years and he was taken in by a local preacher named Dan Call. Call taught Jack the techniques of brewing and distilling and the two opened a distilling business in 1875. Call left the business shortly after and it became solely Jack's responsibility.

In 1884, the current distillery land was purchased. In 1910, there was prohibition in Tennessee so production was moved to Missouri and Alabama. They were not able to produce the same whiskey in these areas, and fortunately, prohibition was lifted and the current distillery was able to continue in 1947. Today, the distillery is actually in a dry county so it cannot be sold except for one exception: within the distillery, you can purchase a commemorative product.
