With a sound mixing traditional country and Southern rock, country artist Brad Paisley has a string of Number One hits, a flawless streak of Gold or higher certified albums and a number of awards to his name. Born in October of 1972 in Glen Dale, West Virginia, Paisley’s love for music started at an early age. He began playing music when he was eight years old, after his grandfather gave him his first guitar. From then on, he couldn’t stop. He played in church, at Christmas parties and at Mother’s Day events. He wrote his first song when he was thirteen years old; the same year, he co-formed the band “Brad Paisley and the C-Notes” with some of his adult friends. His love for music never faltered, and Paisley graduated from college with a degree in music business. After graduation, he was signed with EMI Music Publishing and began his career as a songwriter. In 1999, he started his career as a singer and made his first appearance on the Grand Ole Opry. Two years later, he was invited to join the prestigious lineup of country music stars.
Paisley has released eight studio albums, all certified Gold, Platinum or Multi-Platinum. He has also released eighteen Number One hits, the first, “He Didn’t Have to Be,” at the start of his career in 1999. Since then, the single was joined by songs like “We Danced,” “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song),” “Mud on the Tires,” “The World,” “Ticks,” “Online,” “Letter to Me,” “I’m Still a Guy,” “Waitin’ on a Woman,” “Then,” “Water,” “Anything Like Me” and “Old Alabama.” He has had fourteen songs that also have been certified Gold or Platinum.
Paisley has also won countless awards from the Academy of Country Music, the Country Music Association Awards, the Grammy Awards, the CMT Music Awards, the American Music Awards and the American Country Awards, among others.
