The Hendry Ranch is one of the many wineries located in Napa Valley. The winery is in the north-west region of Napa City and about 2.5 miles diverting from the Redwood Road. The winery is composed of 203 acres of which 114 acres are the vineyard. They grow 11 varietals.
The most interesting activities in Hendry Winery are the estate tours, wine tastings and the winery held events. The tours and tastings are limited to people of the age of 21 years and above and should not be more than 8 individuals. There are two types of tastings at the facility. This include the winemakers’ seminar tours and the afternoon tour and tastings. George Hendry, the owner of Hendry Winery leads the winemaker tour. The Winemaker tour is education and entails information on the history of the winery, philosophy of farming and the economics and science of growing and making wine. The tour is concluded by a seated wine tasting where seven currently released wine bottles are up for tasting and learning. On the other hand, the afternoon tour and tasting offers you a brief view of activities in the winery and the vineyard. Plain tasting is also available where six bottles are sampled as you ask your questions about the winery.
The Hendry vineyard was established in the 1970s. It was expanded in the year 1994 when Hendry acquired a neighboring estate. The winery, on the other hand, begun its operations in the year 2001.
Hendry Winery is near the Napa City and is also a mile away from Carneros. Visit the winery and taste the best of their wines. Also visit their spectacular vineyard while being educated about the winery’s rich history and economics.
