Napa Valley, California is known for it's vast variety of wineries! Some of the wineries there are reflections of California's historic California Missions. Some of the wineries are reflections of their founders from over a hundred years ago. And, of course there are those modern extravagant wineries that have styles all their own! The Darioush Winery is one of the most lavish and unique wineries to be found in Napa Valley.
Founded in 1997 by Darioush Khaledi, The Darioush Winery became a reflection of its owners unique style! Khaledi was born and raised in Shiraz, Iran which is the home of one of Iran's most prominent wine-growing regions. His father used wine making as a hobby, so it's no wonder where his love of wine came from. Darioush had a vision for his winery and after five years of construction, his Persian palace was born! The winery is 22,000 square feet and is the first of it's kind in the United States!
Walking up to the winery, you will be welcomed by the 16 monumental 18 foot columns. A yellow stone called travertine-stone was found near Persepolis and is now used as the exterior wall of the entire building. Fireplaces, fountains and beautiful gardens are some of the other lavish aesthetics that can be found at The Darioush Winery.
Darioush Winery is a reservation only winery that attracts wine lovers from all over the world. These are people who will no-doubt come for the wine and stay for the unique atmospheric beauty. In whole, Napa Valley and Darioush Winery is the perfect combination of natural beauty and creations of mankind.
