Myrtle Beach on a Budget!

Myrtle Beach offers you a world of opportunities for outdoor recreation, amusement park-style fun, fine dining, golfing, and more. Unfortunately, you can really empty your wallet in Myrtle Beach if you aren't careful, but there are some fabulous ways to experience Myrtle Beach on a budget, too. Here are some budget-minded attractions that offer you an affordable way to really experience Myrtle Beach with fun and memorable activities.

You can't visit Myrtle Beach without spending time cherishing the wondrous natural land scapes, and there is no place more scenic than Huntington Beach State Park. This park, located in Murrells Inlet just outside of Myrtle Beach offers three miles of white sandy beaches as well as a maritime forest, a salt water march, and a freshwater lagoon. Bird-watching is a popular activity here, as are a multitude of other activities like fishing, boating, hiking, and picnicking. While at Huntington Beach State Park, you will also want to explore the boardwalk, the baby alligator exhibition, the Atalaya Castle, and the saltwater touch tank.

You can enjoy more time outdoors when you visit the beautiful Myrtle Beach State Park. This gorgeous, waterfront park spans across 312 acres and features about a mile of white sandy beaches along with an interpretive nature center with hiking trails, picnicking areas, a playground, and even beachfront campgrounds with both tent and cabin camping available.

When you need a break from the beach, you can head over the Waccatee Zoo, an extraordinary, 500 acre preserved park that presents you a respite from the over-developed exhibits in many of the big city zoos across the country. This zoo is widely popular due to its more natural exhibits that are incredibly true to life. Specimens that reside at the zoo include zebras, camels, water buffalo, kangaroos, birds, and more. Here, you can find picnic areas, a play area, a snack shop, and a souvenirs shoppe. Admission to the zoo is affordable, with adult admission at $9 and admission for kids age one year to twelve years priced at $4.

Find a cheap hotel with nearby access to your favorite things to do and wrap it all together in one with a family excursion.
