Kayaking and paddle boards are a great way to explore calm waters especially with the vast amount of aquatic wild life in Florida. Biscayne Bay is protected by the harsh elements that other waters experience, and is clear fresh water that life thrives in. At the bay there are kayaking and paddle boards for rent that are reasonably priced and just because you have used it before doesn’t mean that you should shy away from renting one; The kayaks and paddle board rentals all come with an instructor that teaches you how to use the equipment correctly first and then after that you are free to roam on your own all day. If you need help at any point there is help available so this is perfect for those that are experienced, and for those that haven’t gotten on the water much at all. What you can rent is first come first serve, it is rare for them to run out of any rentals but it does happen in busier seasons. The rental is for the day so you don’t have to worry about running over your time until the day is up and it is time to go home anyway. However, once you turn in the equipment that is it and if you want it again you must rent it again.
Overall this is a great experience for people of all ages and group sizes to be able to experience nature in a calm, clear water bay that is teaming with wild life.
