The Treinen Farm Corn Maze near Madison, WI, is not a typical corn maze. Not only do visitors get a map to the maze, well sort of, inside the maze are mini-mazes to find and complete. The maze covers 15 acres and there are 6 miles worth of twists and turns that guarantee a fun time.
Upon entering the main maze, groups are given a map. In order to complete the map and find your way out of the maze, guests need to find boxes that contain clues to finishing their map. Each group is given a flag in case they need assistance while walking through the maze. For those who are great maze solvers, the mini mazes are a challenge. There are no maps for the mini maze.
There are other activities to enjoy at the farm. There is a pumpkin patch for picking your own pumpkins. Other activities on the farm include hayrides, horses, tube slides, and pumpkin shooting, and there is a night dedicated to a Zompocalypse.
This corn maze is a family friendly event, but for those that enjoy solving puzzles, this is a must on the to do list. Only a small few people find and solve the mini-mazes. Other things to do in the area include the Wollersheim Winery & Distillery, Wilderness Terriority, the Gibraltar Rock State Natural Park, and Forevertron.
