Explore the magnificent wonders of a cave in an exhilarating adventure on a zipline tour of Louisville's Mega Cavern. Visit some of the never-before-seen sights of the man-made cavern, learn about the geology and the history of the cave, and explore the seventeen miles of underground passageways all while soaring down the line. Take in the beautiful sights, ones that you will not soon forget.

The zipline tour will last up to two hours and takes you on a guided expedition of Mega Cavern. The tour has five underground ziplines and three challenge bridges that will test your bravery and your balance. The tour runs daily, often even in bad weather. Being underground has its advantages - snow, ice, and rain don't usually affect the tours. Training is required of each guest and you must arrive at least thirty minutes before your tour time is scheduled in order to receive training. The tour will take you up to 100-165 feet underneath the highways, roadways, and businesses above the cave, and while on the tour you will be anywhere up to 70 feet above the cavern floor. The tour provides a full body harness, trolly system, two heavy-duty lanyards complete with safety clips, and a helmet with a built-in miner's light. This equipment is designed specifically for a zipline course, providing with complete safety. There are no water stations on the course, but there is a bathroom break scheduled at the end of the training session.

Mega Cavern was developed in the 1930s by Ralph Rogers. It was acquired by private investors in 1989 to develop a portion of the cave into an environmentally-conscious, high-security commercial storage facility. In the 1990s, concrete, brick, block, rock, and dirt were used to fill in the holes and create floors and internal roads, which are used today in the cavern's tours. The cavern is a 100 acre man-made limestone quarry, strong enough to stand up against a 260-mile per hour tornado. A constant 56-degree temperature makes the cave cool and comfortable all year long. Mega Cavern is the largest building in Kentucky, despite being underground. One of the owners of the cavern took a zipline tour in Mexico, and then birthed the idea of a Mega Cavern zipline. It is the only underground zipline tour in the world, and provides with an unparalleled educational and historic adventure.

Tall and powerful rock walls stand around you, as well as above and below, as you zip down the lines on the only underground zipline adventure. Test your balance on the variety of suspension and challenge bridges, then test your gut as you strap into a zipline. Your guide will take you through some of the never-before-seen sections of the cave, while informing you of the incredible geology and interesting history. The tour is designed to make your heart race and your adrenaline pump, so if you are an adventurer or adrenaline junkie, this tour is for you.

The Mega Cavern Zipline tour is the perfect option for your trip to Louisville. With training exercises,  high-quality equipment, and professionally trained guides provided for you, your zipline adventure is guaranteed to mix in safety in an exciting and fun adventure. Explore the impressive and powerful sights, and enjoy an incomparable adventure.
