Thoroughbred Horse Farm Tour in Kentucky
The thoroughbred horse farm tour of Kentucky takes you by every farm in the greater Louisville area that has horses. These are some of the best places to view horses, and they have amazing steeds that are beautiful, fast, and gentle. You might want to ride them yourself, or you might want to take pictures and tour the property.
This is an amazing tour that leads you down the tracks that have dirt and grass on both sides. The tour has a driver who takes you to each farm where they already know somebody, and the tour takes you onto a couple properties where you could have the most fun. This is the sort of tour you try when you want to see the horses and have come up for horse races.
The simplest way to enjoy this tour is to sit back and let the tour guide show you everything. They know the history of every ranch, and they often know people who understand these horses well. You get private tours inside the ranches, and you start having fun because you are with others who love horses, too.
The tickets for your tour are online, and you can see a map of the horse farms they prefer to visit. Check the map and buy your tickets in advance so that you get the best experience.
There are many who like to have fun on the thoroughbred horse farms of Kentucky just as much as watching the races. Plan this tour when you have time for a full day of fun.
This 3-hour tour generally includes a walking tour of the ivy-covered grounds of historic Keeneland Race Course, home to the planet's most expensive horse auctions. Take a peek into the thoroughbred horse lifestyle as you go behind the scenes to explore a thoroughbred farm and visit up close and personal with their famous horses. Take a drive by the famous Calumet Farm where you'll see and hear the history of the farm; home of a breeding and racing dynasty that dominated the sport of kings during the 1940's, 1950's and beyond. See where scenes from the major motion pictures Secretariat, Seabiscuit and Dreamer were filmed and then visit the grave site of a very famous race horse.
Please note: during race meets in April and October, 12:30pm tours will visit an alternate venue in place of Keeneland.
