1. History

Jim and Peggy Fuchs founded Colorado River Black Canyon in 1996. The couple began their guiding and outfitting enterprise, believing that guided trips into the Colorado River could be more fun than just sitting around fishing. In the early years, the Colorado River Black Canyon mostly focused on rafting trips through the Grand Canyon. But along with the progression of time, they have also turned their attention to fly-fishing-only tours. They have also added their kayak tours. The company offers a variety of rafting and kayak trips. These start from the spectacular Sierra Madre Mountains and on through the dramatic Black Canyon of the Gunnison.
