Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend Day Tour from Las Vegas
The Antelope Canyon is a picturesque slot canyon that is located on Navajo tribal land (Lake Powell) and is accessible only by foot or raft. The canyon is about 300 feet deep and is a glistening white rock, which makes an exciting contrast with the black sand of the bottom of the canyon. Throughout the canyon, the light will shine through at different times throughout the day, making for unique photos from every angle.
The Horseshoe Bend is another slot canyon on Lake Powell (Navajo tribal land) that offers a more accessible set of photo opportunities. While the canyon's walls are less high and sheer than in Antelope Canyon, it offers a good photo opportunity without climbing deep into the canyon. The Horseshoe Bend is also accessible by raft.
The tour from Las Vegas will include stops at both destinations. The Antelope Canyon stop will be approximately fifteen minutes from the start of the tour, and Horseshoe Bend will be about one hour after that. A stop at Red Rock Canyon will be made on the return trip to Las Vegas. You should bring snacks and water with you on your tour.
This tour covers numerous scenic rivers, lakes, canyons, and waterfalls in Southern Utah. In Red Canyon, you can see red cliffs with an orange hue from the iron ore in the rocks. Black butte is a unique rock formation on a mountain near Moab with narrow winding trails leading up to it.
