Sunset Helicopter Flight
There is nothing better than getting into a plane and going into the air for a helicopter tour to see all of the wonderful colors the earth makes when the sun is setting into the ground.
This wonderful tour of lake Tahoe is taken into the hands of the helicopter control man that takes you into the sky so that you can see all of the wonderful colors that are being made. This is something that is truly breathtaking and can be for the whole family or just a romantic getaway from the others.
The plane is in the sky for 60 min with a guide that knows what he is doing so that there is no fear of the plane coming down when being flown. Remember to take the camera with you so that you can take photos of the amazing colors that are in the sky when the sun is going down because this is something that you will want to show to everybody that you know when you get back down. The views over the lake are amazing along with everything else that is out there when you go up.
Every seat that is on the plane is a seat with a window so that if there is others they will get to see as well.
Nothing could be more beautiful than Lake Tahoe at sunset! So, after a day on the slopes or the lake, why not sit back and relax as you lift up into the dusk sky for an unforgettable helicopter flight. The Sunset Tour takes you on a complete trip around the lake and will show you Lake Tahoe awash in magnificent colors as you view the setting sun from across the lake.
Departing from the South Lake Tahoe airport, head north to the lake. Upon reaching the shoreline, you will head west towards Camp Richardson and the fabulous Emerald Bay. After taking a circuit around Emerald Bay, your flight will continue northward along the western shore of Lake Tahoe past Meeks Bay and Tahoe City, and you'll see the ridgeline to the east of the lake glowing red in the pre-sunset light. You'll then take a turn to the east and fly past Kings Beach, Incline Village, and the favorite Lake Tahoe hangout of the Rat Pac at The Cal-Neva Resort.
As your flight continues southbound along the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe, you will be afforded a spectacular view of the sunset while looking west across Lake Tahoe. You will see Cave Rock, Zephyr Cove, and the casinos of Stateline as they start to come alive for a night of entertainment. Your flight will finally bring you back to the airport at South Lake Tahoe.
Your helicopter will be a Robinson R44 Raven II or a Bell 206 LongRanger. These are some of the safest and quietest helicopters in the industry. Each copter comes equipped with leather seats and Active Noise Reduction headsets, so you can enjoy your flight in comfort without any unnecessary noise.
Depending on the helicopter being flown, passenger count will be 3, 4 or 5 passengers and the pilot. Be assured that EVERY seat is a window seat!
