Key West Scavenger Hunt Adventure
Play a game of scavenger hunting while visiting Key West to see some historical areas usually missed while in Key West. The game is downloaded on your phone so you can hunt and explore at your own pace. Take the whole family and learn Key Wests secrets.
The tour/game takes you to the historic seaport where you will venture down Duval Street, an eclectic mix of shops, bars, and restaurants, which is world famous. Another world famous area is, Mallory Square, known for its' great sunset celebrations. Throngs of tourist converge on this area to watch the spectacular sunsets, amidst street performers, artists, vendors, and food carts. There is also the Memorial Sculpture Garden, which features the huge bronze statue, depicting 'Wreckers' that depicts how Key West came to be one of the richest city per capita in the 1800's. There are also 39 busts of people synonymous with Key West, such as Ernest Hemingway, Harry Truman, Henry Flagler, and many more.
You will also come across the historic old cemetery, established on the islands highest point in 1847. There are about 100,000 people buried in what was only supposed to 15,00, hence the large amount of mausoleums. Not only are there ornate statues and grave markers, there are some quirky, one liners on the markers to see. One such marker says, 'See I told You I was sick'. There are many more, but you have to search.
This is a fun way to spend a few hours while discovering all that Key West has to offer. Wear comfortable walking shoes, and dress for the weather. There is a minimum 2 person booking. Have fun hunting!
