The Liberty Science Center, located in Jackson, NJ, is an educational attraction for those who enjoy learning about science. It is ideal for school groups as well as families.
One of the features of the science center is a large 3D movie theater. The IMAX features a domed screen that is 88 feet. There are 400 seats in the theater. Films change through the year, some that are related to the exhibits in the center. Some of the recent films are of humpback whales in the wild, amazing caves and robots. There is a little bit of something for all ages at the science center. Toddlers can see how the basics of science work in the I Explore gallery. There are hands on exhibits for this age group as well as other ages throughout the center. Children can be a doctor in the infection control center, learn about cranes in the construction zone or walk along steel beams on the skyscraper floor. There is an area in the center for those who have special needs so that they have exhibits that are easier to understand and handle. Guided tours are available for school groups, and there are overnight events for students through the year. After a day of exploring, guests can enjoy a meal in the cafe.
