Jenny Lake is located in Moose, WY inside Grand Teton National Park. This Glacial lake is one of the most beautiful and pristine lakes in the park. Situated at the main base of the Grand Tetons, Jenny Lake gives views and access to the Cathedral Group.
Jenny Lake is only one of two lakes in the Grand Tetons where motorboats are permitted. Visitors may enjoy scenic boat tours on the lake, as well as, canoe or kayak. Also in the area, are several hiking trails. The west side of the lake captures visitors with two popular destinations, Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point. The shorelines and beaches offer perfect fishing for angler enthusiasts.
The lake formed about 12,000 years ago by glaciers. It received its name after a Shoshone Indian woman.
