On the Old Faithful Expedition, you can have the opportunity to travel through some of the most scenic sights in Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. The highlight of the excursion, of course, is the majestic Old Faithful. You will also come face-to-face with some of the native wildlife in the area and get lunch in the Old Faithful Inn before returning to Jackson.
This 10-12 hour guided tour heads towards Yellowstone National Park from Jackson, Wyoming at 8:00 a.m. You’ll take the inner loop road of Grand Teton National Park on your way there, giving you the opportunity to take in the sights of the Teton Mountain Range and its waterways. Native wildlife are a common sight during your trip, including elk, moose, mule deer, antelope, coyotes, eagles, osprey, trumpeter swans and more.
When you leave Grand Teton, you’ll reach Yellowstone and waste no time moving towards Old Faithful. This incredible landmark erupts in a powerful display, while you follow your guide on a walking tour of the Upper Geyser Basin. There, you’re likely to catch a glimpse of the bison and elk that brave the hot pools, steam vents and geysers. After a lunch at the historic Old Faithful Inn, you’ll travel back to your starting point. On the way back, you may get the opportunity to stop at key points of interest, such as Yellowstone Lake, West Thumb Geyser Basin and Oxbow Bend.
