More Than Horses at Hot Springs' Oaklawn Racetrack
While visiting Hot Springs, AR, planning a day at Oaklawn Racetrack will definitely add excitement to your trip. Whether you come during a live meet to watch the thoroughbred racing or during the simulcast season, when the Dish Jockey Booth and the Player's Pavilion will always ensure a great time.
Oaklawn is the longest-family-owned sports franchise in America; the Cella family founded the track in 1905 and is currently run by co-founder Charles Cella's grandson, also named Charles. When Oaklawn started one hundred years ago it was on the outskirts of town -- today it finds itself right in the middle of town in the thick of the action.
When you want to take a break from the racing action, either live or simulcast, you will find other things that are fun at Oaklawn. On the first floor you will find everything horses at the Winning Colors gifts shop where such treasures as equine collectables, children's merchandise, and clothing will remind you of your visit. Instant Racing may have you winning big before the day is over, and Instant Poker could have you winning up to $10,000. There are always special promotions going on and many ways you can win here.
