If you find yourself in Honolulu for Thanksgiving, you’ll probably find things fairly familiar. The holiday is celebrated there in much the same way as in the rest of the US, right down to the turkey and trimmings. The main difference with some areas of the US is the temperature, which will just be getting nicely warmed up by that point.
That might mean that you want to take things a little more lightly for thanksgiving, but that doesn't’t mean you can’t still celebrate. There are plenty of great restaurants in Honolulu, almost all of which are eager to get into the holiday spirit in their own unique ways. The highlight of the day is probably the annual Waikiki Holiday Parade, featuring up to four thousand marchers, while there is also great fun to be had in the annual race known as the turkey trot, designed to let those who have over indulged burn off a few pounds while trying to guess their finishing time.
