The Museum of the Bible prides itself on bringing learning to all ages. By introducing visitors of all ages to Biblical passages through interactive exhibits, the Museum aims to help people engage with the Bible in meaningful ways. With admission to the museum, you will be able to visit permanent exhibits as well as traveling and temporary displays, all dedicated in some way to the Bible.

Picture Books of the Past: Reading an Old Master Painting
(Now - Sep 30, 2020)
This unique display discovers how medieval churches used pictures to convey events and lessons from the Bible. Since many were illiterate in that time, they sought to bring the word to the masses through these paintings. Here, you will be able to see paintings from the 14th through the 19th centuries, each with Christian significance. There are 64 paintings in this exhibits, featuring artists such as Ribera, Dolci, and Tintoretto.

The Tapestry of Light: Intersections of Illumination
(Now - May 2020)
This unique exhibit is the very first visual interpretation of John's Apocalypse. This astounding display features a beautiful tapestry and took twenty years to develop into its final form. A result of collaboration between many accredited doctors and artists, this tapestry is a must-see.

The People of the Land: History and Archaeology of Ancient Israel
Ancient Israel was a significant area to the Bible, as many know. At this exhibit, guests can view real artifacts from this time frame. Learn about life in ancient Israel and see some fascinating archaeological artifacts on display.

The Impact of the Bible
Located on the 2nd floor of the museum, the Impact of the Bible exhibit displays the Bible's impact on a variety of industries and cultural aspects of the modern world. See how the Bible has affected everything from music to literature, fashion, and more. There are one-of-a-kind artifacts to discover and guests can even see a fun 'flight' through DC at Bible Now.

The Stories of the Bible
Located on the third floor, this exhibition takes visitors through the most important Biblical stories. Here guests will visit Nazareth and discover Christianity's history through interesting displays and information.

The History of the Bible
The History of the Bible exhibit is found on the fourth floor. It is here that guests will be able to explore some of the most astounding artifacts and items. From the real handwritten scrolls to modern day apps, you can explore how Christianity was formed and how it influenced the world. Guests can also explore the IllumiNations exhibit which features Biblical translations from across the entire world.
As well as exhibits, the museum is also home to a spectacular collection of rare artifacts. Visitors will be able to see these artifacts up close to learn about the Bible in a brand new way. Some of the artifacts featured in this extensive collection include:
