Morning Monuments Tour of Washington Dc
This 3 hour morning tour of the top monuments and significant locations in Washington DC gives you the opportunity to see the most popular attractions, get basic information about them, and of course get more in-depth information and photo ops at many. You will travel through the streets in style and comfort in a climate controlled motor coach, and have the opportunity to even be dropped off at a choice of locations for afternoon activities once your morning tour is done.
You will be picked up from your local hotel (at an additional fee) or you can meet at the National Archives at the Corner of 9th and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW. You should arrive 20 minutes early so you can check in with the tour guide and go over security check procedures that you will have to deal with during visits to various monuments. Once everyone is gathered the group will depart at 10:30 am. The tour lasts 3 hours and is fully guided through the nation's capital by an expert tour guide. You will travel between locations on an air-conditioned motor coach, however, be prepared for a moderate amount of walking as well. Bottled water is included on the motor coach for your convenience and comfort. You will visit some of the most popular destinations in the city such as The United States Capitol Building, Korean War Memorial, Martin Luther King Junior Memorial, World War II memorial, the White House, and more. IN all you will drive by 30 monuments or significant locations and will have stops at 12 of them for picture and in-depth information. YOU WILL NOT ENTER ANY OF THE LOCATION YOU VISIT ON THIS TOUR.
At the end of the tour, you will be given an option to be dropped off at the National Archives or at the Fashion Center at Pentagon City Shopping Mall. This is a great way to continue your day by taking a tour of the archives or having lunch and doing a little afternoon shopping.
Ending location will change according to the season and if there are special events occurring in the city. Locations for termination will be as follows:
April 1 to October 10: Tour will end at the corner of 15th Street and Constitution Avenue, NW
October 11 to March 31: Tour will end at the Museum of Natural History across from the National Archives.
Special Days, Activity Days, Events Requiring Street Closures: Tour will end at the Lincoln Memorial.
This is a walking tour, please wear comfortable shoes. There will be occasional opportunities to stop to rest, restrooms will be available at a few locations. Sorry, but this particular tour is NOT wheelchair or mobility issue accessible, please contact the tour operator for alternate options. This tour DOES NOT return you to the original departure point, so please plan accordingly. This tour has different ending locations depending on any activities taking place in the city and time of year, please check for the exact ending location your particular booking has. All reservations are non-cancellable and non-refunded. Should you need to change the date/time of your tour, you will be subject to availability and you will incur a change fee of $30 which will be payable when you arrive for your new tour slot. Price does not include hotel pick up or drop off. Price does not include lunch, which you may enjoy at your own expense. Price does not include gratuity for the tour guide or coach driver both of which are highly recommended.

From April 1 to October 10, the morning tour ends at 15th Street & Constitution Avenue, NW. For certain special event days and street closures, the Lincoln Memorial will be the alternative drop off point.
From October 11 to March 31, the morning tour ends at the Museum of Natural History (across from the National Archives).
