Come revel with Mardi Gras in the frontier town of Deadwood for a unique celebration that will introduce you to two very distinct worlds through one great festival.
Upwards of ten thousands people traditionally turn out for Deadwood's Mardi Gras celebration, offering a grand time of fun and new friends. The celebrations tend to carry many of the traditional themes from New Orleans' Mardi Gras, including costumes, parades and general cheer.
As a precursor to the weekend celebrations, a Deadwood "Wake" will be held on Friday night and is set to include live music, a mass wedding and special preview of the floats set to take part in the weekend parade. Come experience the wild celebrations of Mardi Gras seamlessly combine with the old-frontier feel of Deadwood for a truly unique time in the Mount Rushmore area with Mardi Gras Weekend in Deadwood this February!
