This 8-hour Southern Hills Bicycle Tour is a great way to not only see the Black  Hills but to truly experience them. This tour is private and completely customizable, so you can choose the best route for your capabilities. Route lengths range from twenty-four to fifty-four miles. You'll ride along and to the most beautiful sights in the area: Sylvan Lake, Iron Mountain Road, Needles Highway, and Mount Rushmore. The price includes your bike, helmet, and lunch! There are many different styles and sizes of bikes available so you're sure to find the one that fits you perfectly. Riders must be twelve years of age and older and the maximum party size is fourteen.

The basic tour route is forty miles and begins at Lakota Lake. After meeting here at 8:00 am, you will get your gear and start biking up to Peter Norbeck Overlook where you will get a panoramic view of Mount Rushmore. After a short stop here, you'll continue on a six-mile downhill ride that goes through multiple tunnels and over log bridges known as the pigtail bridges. This ride is beautiful and is said to be one of the most enjoyable rides in the area.

After that downhill ride, you'll be at the base of the hill which holds Mount Rushmore. You will climb the steep hill to the top and have lunch with a view of the amazing landmark. After lunch, you'll ride along a road to see breathtaking rock pinnacles on the way to Sylvan Lake. After a brief stop here, you're ready to move on. The climb allows for a ten-mile descent on Needles Highway past more landmarks. Then, there is a moderate ride on the way back to Lakota Lake.
