Private Mickelson Trail Bicycling Tour This tour offers a great opportunity to venture out and explore the historical byways and scenic vistas of the beautiful Black Hills. A treasure trove of history too few people take time to explore, this region is home to some of the oldest mountains on earth and is rich in gold mining history. You'll tour America's oldest gold mining district and enjoy good food at a local restaurant before returning to your vacation home in Deadwood or Custer State Park. This tour is the perfect combination of historical and outdoor exploration. The highlight of this tour is the magical passage through the Needles Eye Tunnel, part of a great gold rush-era railroad system.

Inclusions:

Bicycle, helmet & water bottle, and bottled water included.

Air-conditioned coach transportation to the trailhead (Deadwood or Custer State Park)

Private Mickelson Trail biking guide (instructor), including facts and history surrounding the area's Black Hills region, flora, and fauna.

3 Hours of biking

1.5 Hour lunch break in Deadwood or Custer State Park

Meals: Lunch, High Country Grill (Restaurant), and Take Out when you finish your tour. Eat buffet style, with no menus, or choose from what's included at the restaurant. Ask about special meals if you wish to order ahead before the tour. It is not included in all tours, and some tours will not have "take out" available for an additional cost either before or after the bike tour. This is also not available during winter months (November and December).

Tours last approximately two hours; however, you can tour as needed or quickly as possible. We will decide how long to bike each day based on the area's interest.
