Maverick Stadium is a favorite for high school games, a popular playoff venue, and now used by the Arlington community for a number of great annual events.
With 15,000 seats, Maverick Stadium in Arlington may not be a college football venue any longer, but the community still uses it for such events as Texas' famous annual Scottish Festival and Highland Games.
Events that have been hosted here are the Special Olympics, many concerts, and regularly, Arlington Independent School's football games. The University itself uses the stadium for other sporting events, including their track and field.
Maverick Stadium remains an interesting spot to visit for football and University of Texas fans, and can be located at 1307 W Mitchell, Arlington, TX.
