Grand Canyon National Park Hiking Tour and Imax Movie from Tusayan
Your pickup is in the resort town of Tusayan, located near the south entrance of Grand Canyon National Park. The town is about 1.5 hours north of Flagstaff and Williams. A jeep will meet you at the hotel and transport you to the trailhead. As your hike begins, you and your guide will select a hiking train that will afford you a hike of between 2.5 and 6 miles. No matter which path is chosen you and your group will have the chance to see incredible desert landscapes, towering rock formations, and colorful canyon walls along with the plants, animals, and natural phenomenon that are all part of the ecosystem of the Grand Canyon. As you progress through the Canyon you will have the chance to stop and take pictures, ask questions, and take in the natural and awe-striking beauty of the worlds largest natural wonder.
After your hike concludes you will be taken to the National Geographic Visitor Center. Here you will have a chance to experience the 34 minutes Grand Canyon IMAX film, which takes you on an incredible journey of more than 4000 years chronicling the canyons development and the impact that it has had on human history. After you view the film you will get back into the jeep and head back to your hotel.
This is a hiking tour, so you will need to wear appropriate footwear and clothing. It is advised that you be familiar with the concepts and physical rigors of hiking. This hike is not appropriate for children under the age of 12. This activity is weather dependent, so please check with the hike organizer before arriving at the hotel pickup location. Should a hike be canceled for weather reasons, or for other reasons such as canyon fire, etc, you will be given a choice of full refund or an alternate hike date. Hotel pick up and drop off is included in activity price. Price does not include gratuity for hike guide which is highly encouraged.

Hiking trails range in difficulty and length -- from 2.5 miles to 6 miles (4 km to 10 km) -- but no matter which one you take, you'll be treated to incredible views of the Grand Canyon's towering rock formations, rugged desert landscapes and sheer canyon walls colored in eye-catching hues.
Stop along the way to rest, take photos and soak up your majestic surroundings. Your guide will provide commentary about the wonders of this amazing geological phenomenon, and will answer any questions you have.
After your hike, head to the National Geographic Visitor Center to watch an awe-inspiring film in the air-conditioned comfort of the IMAX theater. The 34-minute Grand Canyon IMAX movie opens your eyes to a Grand Canyon that most people don't know about. Showing you glimpses of human and geological history from 4,000 years ago to today, the movie lets you live the history, mystery and jaw-dropping beauty of the most storied natural wonder in the world.
At the end of your Grand Canyon IMAX experience, meet your guide and hop in the Jeep for your return drive to your hotel.
