Matt Cordell is an Elvis impersonator who performs several evenings a week at the Elvis Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Matt, a Tennessee native, has been portraying Elvis in concerts and plays for over 15 years. Being an Elvis portrayer is his only profession, and he knows over 500 songs that the King sang. These songs include all the hits, of course, but also include gospel and rock songs that Elvis performed only once or twice. Matt is truly a living, breathing catalog of everything Elvis ever performed. Matt has performed in casinos all over the country and has won first place in several Elvis impersonator competitions.
The Elvis Museum in Pigeon Forge is the hosting venue for Matt's performances, and for good reason. This original Elvis museum, opened in 1979, contains the largest private collection of Elvis memorabilia. After spending a day at the museum immersed in the life of the King, a performance by Matt Cordell will make you feel like you are watching the man himself. A performance by Matt is also a wonderful experience for kids who did not grow up with Elvis - it gives adults an opportunity to explain and introduce to kids one of the country's most beloved rock performers.
