Feel the magic of the Great Smoky Mountains at Dollywood! From fantastic shows to thrilling rides, you'll ride, dance and sing the day away. Nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, Dollywood is a fun-filled adventure with breathtaking scenery.

Dolly Parton's Own Theme Park

Since becoming a partner in the theme park in 1986, Dolly Parton has lent much more than her name to the success of the attraction. Today the park has more than doubled in size and new and exciting additions pop up each year. With her passion for the area and her commitment to the community, Dolly has transformed what once was a small park into a 118-acre fantasy land for children and adults alike.

Rides and Attractions

No theme park is complete without thrilling coasters and fast rides. At Dollywood, thrill seekers will not be disappointed. Feel the power of the Tennessee Tornado as you speed along the rails of the country's only spiro-looping coaster. You'll drop 128 feet through a mountain while going 70 mph! On Blazing Fury, you'll race through a burning town as the locals try to save it. The 1880s townspeople will try everything, but in the end you'll find that only water can save the town! For a great adrenaline rush, climb the side of a mountain and take the plunge on Mountain Slidewinder. Once at the top, you'll board a specially designed foam boat and then you're off! You'll race along a water-filled slide down the mountain. Other great thrill rides include Smoky Mountain Wilderness Adventure and Thunderhead.

Water-Based Rides

If the hot summer sun is wearing you down, take a thrilling ride on the Smoky Mountain River Rampage to cool down. Speed down a raging river, twisting and turning all the way to the bottom. For other great water rides to cool you off, be sure and ride Country Fair Falls, where you'll float along a winding flume then free fall inside your hollow log boat for the final big splash. And don't miss Daredevil Falls, where you'll go on a water-filled adventure through an abandoned logging camp - coming face to face with bats and bears - before taking the 60-foot plunge down a water fall at over 60 mph!

Fun for Kids & Families

Dollywood is fun for the entire family, and showcases plenty of rides appropriate for children and the family as a whole. Small children and adults alike will love the charm of the huge carousel as they sail along on the backs of various animals. It wouldn't't be a true park without bumper cars, and Dolly's Demolition Derby is fun for everyone as you speed around the floor bumping friends and family. Hop on board the Tennessee Twister for a tilt-a-whirl ride that will leave your head spinning and happy faces all around. There are many other family rides, including Dollywood Express, Twist and Shout, Swingamajig and Rocking' Roadway - and the smaller kids will love Barnstormer, Convoy and Road Rally.

Live Shows & Performances

It's not all about rides at Dollywood, however. Spectacular shows are center stage at this park and the talented performers are certain to have you dancing in the aisles and tapping your feet. Featuring bluegrass, country, gospel and classic rock 'n' roll, the shows here will keep you entertained for hours. Remember the days of the 1960s and all the fantastic TV dance shows? Relive them today at Buddy Baxter's Bandstand USA, where a TV dance show comes to life with classic rock n' roll. You never know who you'll see at the Randy Parton Country Heart and Soul show. A country show featuring Dolly's brother, it will have you singing along with Randy and the countless Grand Ole Opry Legends who frequently drop in as special guest stars. You also don't want to miss the other great performances including Heartsong, James Rogers Show, Kingdom Heirs, Naomi Morrison and the Wood Brothers, Country Crossroads, Gem Tones, The Kinsfolks Show, The Magic Show and Wings of America.

Other attractions are the Calico Falls Schoolhouse, Chasing Rainbows, Smoky Mountain Home, Dreamland Forest, Eagle Mountain Sanctuary, Robert F. Thomas Chapel and Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Whatever you're looking for , Dollywood is sure to have it - and then some. This amazing park takes the best of fun and excitement and blends it perfectly with the serenity of the beautiful mountains that surround it and the hospitality this area is famous for . The magnificent Smoky Mountains surround you every step of the way, and it's sure to be a vacation you'll never forget!

This was more than wee expected. Without a doubt, one of the cleanliness places we have ever been. One of us was in a wheelchair and it was easy to get around in the buldings, as well as the grounds. This was a beautiful place to spend an entire day with family members of different ages.
