Take a 5 mile rafting trip down the upper section of the Big Pigeon River which features a total of twelve exciting Class III and three thrilling Class IV white water rapids!

You will be accompanied by a professional Rafting in the Smokies river guide who will help steer your raft through five miles of white water rapids with intimidating names like Too Late, Vegamatic, Razor Blade, After Shave, and Lost Guide! The Big Pigeon River is skirted by the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Cherokee National Forest, Martha Sundquist State Forest, and is also near the Appalachian Trail, so there will be plenty of stunning views along your action packed rafting trip.

While preparing for your float keep in mind that you will be on the river, so you will get wet! Wear shorts and a t-shirt made of quick dry material. Be sure to wear shoes that will securely stay on your feet like sneakers, river sandals, or water shoes. There are changing facilities with hot showers on site, so bring a dry change of clothes and a towel. If you want to bring a camera, only do so if it is waterproof. Also keep in mind that a professional photographer will take photos of your trip which will be available for purchase.

For the best vacation experience, be sure to find other outdoor adventures in the Smokies!
