Description
Grand Canyon and Navajo Reservation Full Day Tour Photos (12)

Enjoy a simplistic yet scenic tour that combines the beauty and grandeur of the Grand Canyon with the culture and history of the Navajo Reservation with this full day tour from Flagstaff! You will start your canyon adventure with a scenic drive past the dormant volcanoes of San Francisco Peaks on your way to the Navajo Reservation, and make a stop at the historic Cameron Trading Post to take pictures of the vistas surrounding you and shop for authentic Native American souvenirs and handmade art in The Gallery.

From here you will view the western edge of the Painted Desert and drive along the Little Colorado River Gorge on your way to the Grand Canyon before spending ample time in the Grand Canyon National Park. Climb to the top of the Watchtower Observatory and look over more of the beautiful scenery around you, and make your way along the rim of the canyon, making a stop at Grandview Point. This viewpoint a transitional point between the East and South rims, and offers unparalleled views of the Colorado River Gorge. Take a 1/2 mile hike along the South Rim and look across nearly 14 miles of canyon walls and formations to the North Rim, standing at the only point where you can see both the Kaibab Suspension Bridge and Phantom Ranch.

You will visit the Grand Canyon Village and explore many of the historic buildings and museums that include the El Tovar Lodge, Grand Canyon Railway Station, Hopi House, and Kolb Studio. While in the village, you will be able to look down at the Bright Angel trail and Indian Gardens, and keep an eye out for native wildlife such as condors and mules, among numerous other species that call the canyon home! As you leave the National Park, make a stop at the National Geographic Visitor Center in Tusayan to shop and explore numerous exhibits. Throughout your tour, you will receive informative commentary on each of the landmarks you see and viewpoints you pass from a professionally trained, local tour guide. 

Recommended Attire - Comfortable and supportive clothing are recommended, as you will be doing some hiking during this tour. Sunscreen, hats, and a light jacket are also suggested. Please dress weather appropriately.
