Family-owned and operated, Diehl’s Orchard and Cider Mill is dedicated to providing families, visitors and the local community with memorable activities and an opportunity to unwind and enjoy the great outdoors. Set in the countryside close to Detroit, Michigan, Diehl’s Orchard and Cider Mill spans 100 acres of land. Its bountiful apple varieties include Gala, Fuji, Jonagold, Ida Red and more. Visitors can purchase apples as well as homemade donuts and apple cider.
Diehl's schedules fun activities that take advantage of crisp weather, fresh air and mouth-watering fruit. Tourist-friendly amenities include picnic areas, playgrounds for the kids, hikes through the orchard, haystacks and a bird coop. Available apple varieties include Gala, Fuji, Honeycrisp, Gala, Jonagold and Ida Red among others. Every autumn, Diehl’s Orchard holds its Ciderfest, an all-day extravaganza with craft shows, a corn maze, petting zoo, pony rides, hay rides, music and dancing. Visiting athletes can participate in the Ciderfest run that courses through the surrounding landscape. In addition, several tourist package options are offered. These include dinner and a hayride, an evening hayride and campfire, tent rentals and group tours.
Diehl’s Orchard and Cider Mill is located at 1479 Ranch Road in Holly, Michigan, six miles north of M59. Group tours can be arranged by appointment. The orchard is open seven days a week 9 am to 6 pm from August 15th to October 31st. From November first through the 23rd, it is only open on weekends from noon to 5 pm.
