Westin Book Cadillac Detroit
The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit is located in historic downtown Detroit and is less than a mile from all of Detroit's sports arenas. The hotel takes guests' fitness goals seriously, so with a state of the art fitness center, the hotel also offers New Balance shoes and workout clothes for a small fee. All guests have to do is dial the front desk and give staff their shoe and clothing sizes. For the guests who have a greener initiative in mind, if they decline housekeeping, they can receive $5 for participating restaurants or receive 500 StarPoints at checkout for their next stay. Michael Symon's Roast Restaurant is located in the hotel and serves fine dining fare, casual bar eats, and boasts one of the best beer menus in the country. Because of the hotel's downtown location, the Entertainment District is only 2 miles away and the Detroit casinos, Greektown, are only 1.3 miles away.
The Westin recently underwent a $200 million renovation and is now included in the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1924, the building was once the tallest building in the world after its completion and remains one of Detroit's most elegant and beloved historical buildings.
Each room comes equipped with Westin's own luxurious mattress brand, the Heavenly Bed and spacious soaking tub, the Heavenly Bath. Rooms also have 42" flat screen TVs with digital channels, video game consoles, weekday newspapers, and in room tea/coffee services.
Restaurants like the Basil Court Restaurant and Chanoso's Ltd are just across the Detroit River and located in Ontario. Duty free shopping is also right across the River at the Windsor-Detroit Tunnel Duty Free Shop.
